This Wednesday: “Dutch Auction”
So, this Wednesday, Jess (with some help from Andy K.!) has something strange and wonderful planned for you all. Here’s what we need you to do:
Grab a pillowcase.
Fill that pillowcase with random stuff from your house. This can be pretty much anything as long as it is not alive or disgusting. Just random stuff. As an example (and I have no idea what they are planning, so I’m not trying to give you any hints here), you could bring a comb, a shoe, a CD, an empty Mountain Dew can, a piece of paper, a trophy and a stuffed animal. Just grab a variety of things.
Bring that pillowcase full of things to youth on Wednesday.
I’m not sure just what all is in store, but Jess is describing it as a “Dutch Auction,” where you can trade the things you bring for mysterious prizes that Jess will have (and don’t worry, you will get all your stuff back at the end so you won’t have to give up Mr. Buttons, your teddy bear you’ve had for 14 years). Spread the word to as many youth as you can, so that we get the word out to people! Sadly, I will not be there, as I have to go to Annual Conference. But I’ll be back on Sunday!
